Wed the World Kick-Off Recap: December 13th, 2013
On December 13th we kicked off Wed the World with a special candlelight bonfire to share our journey of getting married with our closest friends in Seattle. Sparklers, champagne and a toasty fire lit us up as we said goodbyes to our nearest and dearest for the next 6 months to partake in our journey. Thank you to our friends who came to light a candle, share their blessings with us and commemorate a very special evening that we will never forget. We love you all.
And to celebrate getting married, we took off for a private dinner afterward to Seattle’s best dining experience – Canlis in Queen Anne. You all know that we love our local Queen Anne and will be residents for many years to come, so Canlis seemed like the perfect place to revel in the moment – and they did not disappoint. After the beautiful starters and champagne came, they graciously swept us up to the private Cache Room where we had a 5-course, amazing meal – but it wasn’t just the food that had us staying for a solid 3 hours, it was the overall experience. Canlis prides itself on not just having fine cuisine, but providing the best dining experience possible. And we will definitely attest – it was an exceptional dining experience. We will have a permanent reservation on December 13th for at least the next 50 years of marriage!
Now to prepare to live in Japan…
Special thanks to Conor Musgrave Photography for these photos and Canlis for an absolutely exceptional evening.
