For Christmas last year, I bought Branden the gift of driving super cars on the Las Vegas Speedway, and after just wrapping up the annual charity event for my non-profit organization, we thought it would be the perfect time to head to Vegas for one-part adrenaline and one-part relaxation. But what we were also made aware of was it could have been the perfect time to kick off Wed the World with a wedding: Vegas style!
Due to our last evening of fancy attire including me in a white dress, we got bombarded with many texts and Facebook comments of whether we were getting married or not in Sin City. But low and behold – sorry guys, we did not! We will admit it crossed our minds as we do plan on having a special legal ceremony before we head to Asia for our #wedtheworld journey, but after much deliberation (and by “much” deliberation I mean just at the dinner table that last night when everyone was texting us) we figured Elvis was not to be associated with any wedding bells so we decided to forgo the Vegas wedding.
But it was a close one 🙂 Instead, here’s a quick video of what we did on the Las Vegas Speedway where Branden got to drive the Audi R8 and a Ferrari F430, and I ssspppaaahhheed my life away in Vegas – it was wonderful!
Many thanks to Nicola, Angelia, and Grandma Morrison for their lovely hospitality (especially that late night fried chicken, mac-and-cheese, and collard greens when we landed!) We love you ladies and are so glad we got to see you before we head out on our journey.
And don’t forget to follow us on FACEBOOK!
